Pawsitive News! Our Dog Park Is Open For Barks, Tail Wags, And Happy Dances!

All of us here at Animal Medical Center of Marquette are thrilled to announce the opening of our brand new outdoor “waiting room.” The new area definitely has the local “puparazzi” super excited. It’s covered in soft grass, features agility obstacles, and is completely fenced in. That might sound a bit far-fetched, but it’s true. That’s because it’s also a doggy park! Read on as a local vet talks about the newest Marquette, MI dog park.

Keeping Tails Wagging

We already do everything we can to make visits to the vet quick and easy for dogs. For example, we use calming techniques, and offer our furry friends padded tables and warm towels. However, we decided to take things to the next level!

The Details

Our new waiting room is bound to get some tails wagging! Our official dog park is 3,000 square feet. That’s a lot of room for Fido to run and play! Time in a secured, fenced outdoor location is a great treat before coming in to see us. The exercise and stimulation your pet will get by having some outdoor time before his or her appointment is bound to lend a more pawsitive outlook on vet visits.

Fear Free

With our Fear Free initiative, we’re making a strong commitment to making appointments pleasant for all of our furry pals. Giving dogs a spot to run and play before their appointments is one thing we’re sure our canine buddies would all unanimously approve. Plus, it isn’t exactly a bad thing if your pup tires himself out running and playing before his appointment. That activity will help Fido burn off any excess energy, leaving him much calmer afterwards.

Before letting your pooch out to play here, be sure to visit the front desk, sign a release form, and pick up a lanyard.
We’re also committed to keeping kitty appointments fear free, so ask us for tips on making visits easier for Fluffy as well.
